I’m Parsa Heydarpour, a tunnel and geostructural engineer based in the Washington, D.C. area. I currently work as a Tunnel Specialist at COWI North America, where my work centers on the structural and geotechnical design of underground infrastructure, including the Second Avenue Subway, the Potomac River Tunnel, and the Hudson River Ground Stabilization project for the Gateway Program. Alongside my project work, I teach soil mechanics and structural analysis as adjunct faculty at The Catholic University of America and The George Washington University, and I serve as president of the Structural Engineering Institute chapter of the ASCE National Capital Section.
